Little Moments, Big Changes

Life feels like a whirlwind these days... but in a good way. With our Residency complete, licensing exams done & passed, this week of vacation feels like such a blessing. And we have definitely been filling our time....

With trips to the market for fresh strawberries and my husbands favourite pizza

end of year pool parties

and visits with friends (who know how to cook and who have really cute babies!)
(honestly, this pie Brianna made was AMAZING!)

Life on vacation is truly blissful!

But there's also A LOT going on behind the scenes too...

The husband & I are in the process of packing up our life.
In less than 2 weeks, we will be moving WAY up north to live and work in a remote northern village called Chisasibi.
It's going to be a life-changing experience to say the least.

We have to stock up on food and supplies (stuff that isn't available or is outrageously expensive up north)... I've never bought so many groceries in one shot before!
Our apartment is like a hurricane of boxes and non-perishables right now, and I'm feeling both excited and terrified with all the upcoming changes in my life.
But I'm taking deep breaths and trusting that life will just work out somehow, like it always does.

I'd sure like some of that pizza!

oh my god! how long are you going for? this is exciting, man you guys don't stop with your adventures :) [in a good way]
So the blog will be on hold for a while when you're gone? if they don't have grocery stores, I'll assume you won't be connected to the world wide web ;)

Emily, apparently they have internet - but it's frustratingly slow. We'll see... I think I might try to continue the blog for now.... although I'm afraid I won't have much to talk about or take pictures of up there!
We're "moving" up there, but we're actually going to be coming back to Montreal all the time, pretty much on a monthly basis. They give you A LOT of vacation time (I think to ensure you keep your sanity!).

Wowzers - congratulations! Our life is in disarray right now, everything is in boxes. But we just found out our closing date isn't going to happen on Friday like it has been planned for the last two months, so I'm hoping to do the same and let life work itself out. Good luck with everything!

I love you guys' life,so wonderful and adventurous!
Also so happy we get to see you in a few short days!! What do you think of a family Highline walk as soon as you guys get in? I want to get in as much of the big city as we can so you have lots of fond memories to hold you over while up North!

Natalie - I was thinking THE SAME THING! About the highline walk, that is!
