Weekend Moments - Christmas in the Country

So even though it wasn't December 25th, we had a lovely little (early) Christmas in the country.
It even snowed for us.

I made my usual Christmas morning cinnamon buns...

We bought clear glass ball ornaments, and painted them ourselves...

Then we all ventured out into the forest to cut down a wild Christmas tree.

Finding an appropriate tree in the wild is actually a lot more difficult than we expected. They're all so big and awkwardly shaped.
But that's part of the magic.
In the end we found a rather funny unique looking pine tree.
And we chopped it down to size.

We then made a little fire with the wood we brought with us,
and we celebrated with hot cocoa & cookies,
and of course, coffee with baileys : )

Even though it was oddly shaped, the tree ended up looking great.

And in the end it was a magical Christmas, despite it not actually being Christmas yet.

Looks like a perfect (non) christmas to me!
We used to cut down our own tree way back when. I do miss the fun of wandering around the woods looking for the perfect tree.
