Weekend Moments: in and around Cardiff

Despite the rather miserable cold and rainy UK weather, our brief little visit in Cardiff, Wales has been absolutely wonderful.

We've been staying at my cousin's lovely apartment in Pontcanna, and enjoying her amazing homemade vegetarian meals. She's quite the little chef, that one : )

Of course, we visited Cardiff Castle. After all, what's a trip to Europe without a meander through a castle or two?

Spring in the UK is truly spectacular!

We've been enjoying some delicious restaurant food too.. like traditional Welsh cawl, and I've become addicted to drinking London Fogs (earl grey tea, steamed milk & vanilla syrup... yum!).

We're off to Malvern, England today.
Hope you're all doing well.

looks lovely- I need to take a trip to show my boys a castle- and for the record I absolutely think that rain adds to the ambiance of castle sight seeing.

Hi Vanessa...fun reading your blog on Cardiff and seeing my daughter with you (at last!) Happy you enjoyed watching Eleesha dance and her stunning choreography, Phantoms of Us (which ends soon after a year of touring). Though you weren't lucky with the weather there (it's hit or miss in the UK and there was a great spell of summery weather in March!), it seems like you had a great time just the same. Trust all is well in your world. Beautiful photographs as always. The one of the animal sculpture on the wall is exactly like one I took too! xo auntie caroline
