Weekend Moments in the Great White North

So we've been up in Kuujjuaq for one week now, and I'm learning to appreciate its subtle beauty. 

There's something about the barrenness, the cold quiet, and the solitude that is refreshing and rejuvenating in its own way.

    I love all your pictures, the barrenness definitely has its draw. We have similar low scrub plantlife and berries here!

    Not much of a fan of the cold...buuuut these photos make me want to jump right in! :o)
    Plus as a fellow Canadian, I suppose I'm kinda used to the darn cold! hehe

    Beautiful photos! I've never been up north in Canada. It's a shame ...now that I don't live in Canada, I want to. Isn't that always the case?

    Great photos- I'm so glad you shared.
    Although I won't lie and say I hope to visit there one day I do enjoy looking at the solitude of the landscape.

    We watched Into The Wild last night and truthfully the barren landscape scares me.
    I would prefer the solitude of a dense forrest.
    I wonder what Freud would say about that?
