Life Lately... we are choosing to celebrate

This week has been a bit of an emotional roller coaster, with both a wedding and a funeral, lots of travel, lots of family, and a teething baby...

Somehow we have survived.
And although we are a bit exhausted, it has truly been a beautiful week.
We have chosen to celebrate, despite our grief.
Life is such a gift, and sadly a short one...
and we need to live each day to the fullest.

My brother's wedding was so much fun! I had been rather stressed about it because both myself and my husband were in the wedding party, so we were separated from little Zac for most of the day.... but he did SO well! And it was great because I wasn't the only bridesmaid with a baby...

We brought a travel crib for the evening, and Zac managed to fall asleep alongside the other babies and let us dance the night away. What a rare gift!

The morning after the wedding, we all did yoga together in the hotel conference room.
I love my crazy family!

We celebrated a low key Canada Day back in Montreal.
And it felt good to be home again for a few days.

And then we drove up to the Laurentians, where we are spending a few days with my extended family in a gorgeous log cabin in the woods. It is so beautiful here, and so relaxing.
A much needed break from all the recent chaos and busyness.

And tomorrow we drive down to Long Beach Island to celebrate Fourth of July with my American side of the family.
Big blue ocean, here we come!

I'm so sorry for your loss. What a perfect post to celebrate that life and a marriage.

I'm heading to the lake soon and I hope my photos turn out a fraction of the beauty of yours.

Sorry for your loss, girl. But I'm glad you were able to retreat with the fam in that relaxing cabin weekend. Happy Canada Day and 4th of July!
