the secret to learning, memory and acing exams

I just read a very interesting article about memory over at Zen Habits. The writer, Scott Young, basically says that the secret to learning, memory and acing exams is by forming associations with whatever it is you need to memorize.
I couldn't agree more. I rely on associations all the time in my studies. I've always thought that anyone can excel in school, in any subject... it just requires the right study skills, which they never seem to teach you in school. Read the article here.
