Weekend Moments: home cooked food, spring foliage & a little bit of vinyl too

I had a low key weekend this weekend. It was chilly outside - it even snowed a bit (poor little tulips!).

I'm in complete study mode these days - with less than 2 weeks remaining before my final licensing exam as a medical resident (last formal exam I will write in my life!). So I've been focusing on trying to stay balanced... healthy home-cooked meals to feed my brain, brief yoga sessions in the mornings, and trying to still get out (even if it's just for 5 minutes) and appreciate all the spring buds that are shooting up (not to mention to walk over to Ben & Jerry's for a much needed treat!).

Apparently Saturday was "international record store day"... and while I didn't have time to go to my favourite Montreal record store, I did listen to some great vinyl while studying the night away.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Even though studying can be a drag, isn't it kind of nice to be forced to stay home and live a quiet life for a few days? Hopefully your studying pays off!

Also, from the looks of your food pictures, you and I have similar taste in types of food. And I'm now wishing for a panini press :)

my dad is a record collector so I have a soft spot in my heart for vinyl. Your collection looks lovely.

i empathize with "complete study mode." i was a madwoman in the final stages of thesis-writing last year!

that sandwich looks mighty yummy, too. loving all that vinyl as well! one of the downsides of inter-continental moving is leaving behind fragile loves like those.

What a chilly weekend it was! I hope this is the end of the cold for us. Mmmm, Ben and Jerry's ice cream and that looks like cookie dough yes?? My favorite! Good luck on studying for your final exam!
